Spiritualism or Spirituality

As I contemplate my own spiritual path during this Holy season, I can’t help but think where it is that I have come
from and not where I’m going but where you are going on your spiritual path.

In my youth I was fascinated by the psychic and the mysteries of spiritualism so much so that I became a spiritualist
minister. I did renounce spiritualism and resigned as a minister after being led to a much brighter and illumined path.
But looking back and reflecting upon that time period, I can see especially today how many of you get caught
up in the psychic realm.

I’d like to think that my participation was for a higher good as I with my colleagues sought to heal, exorcize bad spirits,
and bring what we thought were illumined teachings to others. It usually isn’t until one is extricated from such activities
that you’re able to look back without self-condemnation and realize that the way to the Christ, the Buddha, is through
the Christ and the Buddha and not by spirits gone by.

Spiritualism had its main thrust in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It’s reason for coming about was an attempt by the
spiritual hierarchy of this planet to educate mankind in the journey of the soul. Most people believed that our lives
were one and done with no afterlife or permanent existence. This of course disturbed many as death became a feared
outcome. Belief in the afterlife came about with encounters from those that were attuned to another plane. Rappings,
levitation of objects, and contact with the dead not only created curiosity and sensationalism, but prompted science to
investigate and confirm such things as existing. The spiritual hierarchy had intended for people to pursue a higher connection
and teaching with God understanding the existence of the soul after death but as many things go, the good intentions
of the masters get misused for self-aggrandizement, ego-gratification, and profit. Eventually people were making contact
with the lower energies of this astral plane opening a Pandora’s box.

Today there is a tremendous momentum of astral energies in the earth which seeks to create the downfall of society and
mankind. You walk and work through them daily as a ritual never understanding that there can be a better life than the
one you currently have. We deal with all manner of astral energies, many which are considered entertainment. Psychic
readings, mediums, seances, Ouija boards, tarot cards, as well as others are found to be intriguing and entertaining but
carry with them many pitfalls. There are even several television shows that glamorize ghosts and the dead as though they
should be a daily familiar encounter. Our culture is becoming a culture of death.

In yester year, society seemed radical and fanatical with witch hunts, condemnation of anyone who had contact with spirits,
or believed in a different religion. Today you go to bed with these astral hordes as though they were your daily pets
wondering what new experience they will bring when in fact it is they who are taking you away from that which is your
birthright, your soul’s connection to God. We should be entertaining angels unaware not the dark astral forces who so
proudly claim themselves to be great spirits and teachers from above.

We see the advent of a society that is engaging in more and more darkness which seemingly becomes more familiar as
you have daily contact with it, not knowing that our civilization is slipping away from its divine plan of entering a golden age.
Will you continue to engage in this darkness creating calamities for mankind or will you look to a future that is promising with the
light of God and the victory of your soul?

I’ll give you an example. The TV shows of today contain content that is very dark and astral. There are dozens of shows about murder, death and even ghosts. Society is getting so accustomed to this vibration that it feels normal which in turn takes them further away from the higher spiritual vibrations.

It cleanses the believed process of what could be called psychic irritants, things like greed, hatred and ignorance, points that maintain us snarled up in mental bondage. It brings the mind to some point out of tranquility and attention, to a point out of focus and insight.
